We’re hiring an Accountant – Assurance & Tax at HVGP (Hufton Valvano Grover Philipp LLP). HVGP is one of the largest regional CPA firms in Mississauga and the west GTA. We provide audit, accounting, tax, and advisory services to a wide range of industries, and we’re growing. We’re looking for a motivated Accountant who is organized, proactive, and looking to develop their career in public accounting.

What you’ll do:

- Work on assurance & compilation engagements
- Prepare corporate & personal tax returns and related filings
- Draft financial statements and note disclosures
- Assist with audit planning and testing
- Research and resolve accounting and tax issues
- Communicate directly with clients and follow up on outstanding items
- Work closely with senior accountants, managers and partners

What we’re looking for:

- CPA firm experience in accounting, assurance and tax
- Robust organisational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Accurate and efficient approach to completing assignments
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently,



identify issues and know when to ask questions
- A proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership of assignments
