Available Position: Director of Golf

Widder Station Golf, Grill & Tap House – Thedford, Ontario

Widder Station is seeking an experienced, motivated and hands-on Director of Golf to lead our golf operations and provide an exceptional experience for our members, guests, tournament organizers and staff.

The successful candidate will be a visible leader who takes pride in building relationships, supporting the golf team and ensuring that every guest receives friendly, professional service.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee the daily operation of the golf department, including the pro shop, tee sheet, tournaments, leagues, golf carts and outside services
- Recruit, train, schedule and supervise golf operations staff
- Create a welcoming and skilled experience for members and guests
- Coordinate and execute golf tournaments, leagues and special events
- Develop golf packages, promotions and programs that increase participation and revenue
- Manage merchandise purchasing, inventory, displays and pro shop sales
- Monitor departmental expenses, pricing and financial performance
- Work closely with the owners, restaurant management and grounds team
- Respond professionally to guest questions, concerns and feedback
- Ensure all golf policies, procedures and safety standards are followed
- Maintain a strong presence throughout the facility and be willing to assist wherever needed
- Create and execute a junior program
- Be involved in marketing and social media promotions

Qualifications

- Minimum 3 years of golf operations or golf management experience
- Strong leadership,



communication and customer-service skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience coordinating tournaments and golf events
- Ability to manage staff, schedules, inventory and departmental budgets
- Comfortable working mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays during the golf season
- Knowledge of golf booking and LIGHTSPEED point-of-sale systems is an asset
- PGA of Canada membership or golf industry certification is an asset but not required
- · Smart Serve, WHMIS and Food Handlers certified

Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications.
