Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assist with basic food preparation to support the kitchen staff
- Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas in compliance with food safety standards
- Support cooking activities by handling simple tasks such as assembling salads or portioning ingredients
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed to uphold hygiene and safety protocols
- Assist in setting up workstations and restocking supplies to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Follow instructions from chefs and kitchen managers to support meal preparation and service
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, or food industry roles is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and proper sanitation practices
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and bending
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety
- Willingness to learn basic cooking techniques and support meal preparation processes
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
- Prior kitchen experience or serving background is a plus but not mandatory
