T. Hamilton & Son Roofing Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Roofing Technical Project Coordinator to support our commercial roofing projects.

This position is focused on the technical review, coordination, scheduling and documentation of roofing projects from project award through closeout.

Key Responsibilities

- Review architectural roof plans, specifications, details and approved roofing systems.
- Review roofing specifications to identify material, installation and warranty requirements.
- Prepare, organize and manage roofing material submittals and technical documentation.
- Review tapered insulation drawings for slopes, drainage, elevations, crickets, sumps and coordination with architectural roof plans.
- Verify roofing materials and proposed assemblies comply with project specifications and manufacturer requirements.
- Identify discrepancies between drawings, specifications, approved systems and supplier/manufacturer information.
- Coordinate technical questions and discrepancies with suppliers, manufacturers, consultants and internal project teams.
- Assist with Requests for Information (RFIs) and technical clarification when required.
- Coordinate and maintain project schedules for commercial roofing projects.
- Work with Project Managers, field supervisors and management to establish anticipated project start dates, durations and sequencing.
- Monitor project schedules and communicate changes, delays or potential conflicts to the appropriate team members.
- Coordinate scheduling requirements with material availability, deliveries, subcontractors and field crew availability.
- Follow up on outstanding submittals, approvals, materials or other items that may affect scheduled roofing work.
- Assist with adjusting project schedules when weather, site conditions, material delays or other project issues affect planned work.
- Prepare and submit manufacturer warranty and guarantee applications.
- Track manufacturer requirements and required documentation throughout the project.




- Coordinate roofing project closeout documentation, including warranties, guarantees, maintenance information, product data and other required submissions.
- Maintain organized technical project files and records.
- Assist project management and field personnel with technical roofing documentation and information as required.

Qualifications

- Education or experience in Engineering, Architectural Technology, Construction Engineering Technology, Building Science, Construction Management or a related field is preferred.
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, architectural details and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies between drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
- Robust scheduling, planning and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple active projects and changing priorities.
- Excellent organizational and document-management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with manufacturers, suppliers, consultants, Project Managers and field personnel.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with construction scheduling, PDF drawings and document-management software is an asset.
- Previous commercial roofing, building-envelope or construction experience is an asset.
- Knowledge of commercial roofing systems, insulation, tapered insulation and manufacturer warranty requirements is considered a strong asset.

Position Profile

This role is well suited to an individual who is technically minded, highly organized and capable of coordinating multiple commercial roofing projects and schedules simultaneously.

The individual will play an important role in ensuring projects are technically prepared, properly scheduled and ready for field installation. They will help identify potential technical or scheduling issues before they result in delays, additional costs, rework or warranty concerns

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
