About the Client:

We're seeking a compassionate caregiver to support a woman who recently broke her upper arm and needs temporary assistance while her husband travels. This is her first time receiving skilled care. She is independent with mobility and cognitive function but requires help with tasks made difficult by her injury. The family is looking for someone who makes her feel comfortable, is calm and patient, brings positive energy, and is reliable and consistent.

Responsibilities:

- Assist with bathing and dressing due to limited arm mobility
- Prepare meals and handle light meal prep tasks
- Provide medication reminders and help opening medication bottles
- Complete light housekeeping tasks including laundry
- Provide transportation for errands or appointments as needed
- Offer companionship and emotional support during recovery

What We're Looking For:

- Experience with personal care including bathing and dressing assistance
- Ability to prepare nutritious meals
- Reliable and punctual with consistent availability
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- English speaking
- Calm, patient demeanor with a warm and comforting presence
- Ability to take initiative while respecting client independence
- Available for short-term assignment from October 18-26, 2026

Schedule:

Daily visits from October 18 through October 26, 2026,



from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM (3 hours per day). Schedule may be adjusted based on client's recovery progress and changing needs. This is a temporary, short-term position to provide coverage while the primary caregiver is away.

The client lives in Yorker, just north of Highway 401 between Kingston and Napanee. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference during a challenging time for someone recovering from an injury who values independence but needs temporary support.
