We are currently hiring a Machine Builder for one of our clients a manufacturer

in automation feed equipment for; stampers, fabricators, and manufacturers.

Our client is located in the Tomken and Britannia area of Mississauga.

Day shift: Monday through Thursday 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM, and Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour

Machine Builder - Feedline Equipment – Feeders, Straighteners, Uncoilers and other specialized machines used in the stamping industry.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

- Preparation and fabrication of sub-assemblies (cutting, drilling, grinding, tapping, etc). for final installation
- Move, align and install subassemblies and components
- Fit, modify and assemble pre-fabricated metal parts to build heavy industrial machinery
- Install major components such as, servo motors or gear motors, hydraulic assemblies, pneumatics
- Must have positive knowledge of precision fittings
- Know how on installing ringfeder locks, needle, roller and taper bearings, pressed fit bearings, sprockets, pulleys, sensors, brackets, orbit motors.
- Ability to work with tight tolerances
- Cutting, fitting, crimping hydraulic/pneumatic hoses.
- Bending, fitting installing hydraulic/pneumatic tubing.
- Filling industrial fluids
- Performance testing of complete machines.
- Prepare units for shipping (add decals, clean, etc).
- Maintain a safe and non-hazardous work environment at all times.




- Physically able to work on a variety of equipment (climbing/crawling/bending/stretching, etc.)
- Fast-working, without sacrificing quality
- 2+ years of experience in Mechanical Assembly
- Ability to work with general machine shop equipment and hand tools
- Previous experience reading, interpreting and following electrical power schematics and blueprints.
- Must have own tools.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Hands-on experience working with all types of shop tools (mechanic/millwright training an asset)
- Pride in work and work environment
- Ability to work under tight deadlines
- Flexibility, being able to handle multiple tasks
- Attention to detail
- Team Player, good attitude
- Proactive and motivated
- Experience working with or servicing heavy equipment, machinery and/or hydraulics is an asset, including servo drives, gear motors, hydraulic service,
- Experience with safe rigging and lifting operations, using overhead cranes and chain falls an asset
- Able to follow technical drawings and instructions
