We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting manufactured parts, ensuring compliance with customer specifications and quality standards, maintaining inspection documentation, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

The successful candidate should have a strong understanding of GD&T;, machine shop and weld shop inspection techniques, and experience using precision measuring equipment.

Key Responsibilities

- Inspect completed parts against customer drawings, technical specifications, and quality requirements.
- Perform first-off inspections following laser cutting operations to verify part accuracy before proceeding with production.
- Measure, record, and document dimensional inspection results using appropriate inspection equipment.
- Participate in the calibration of gauges, measuring instruments, and inspection equipment.
- Create, maintain, and update First Article Inspection (FAI) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documentation, including control plans.
- Support the Purchasing Department with supplier and vendor quality control activities.
- Participate in the identification, documentation, and management of non-conformances and quality deficiencies.
- Assist with root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, follow-up activities, and quality reporting.
- Promote a culture of quality, accountability,



and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
- Participate in internal quality audits and support compliance with ISO 9001 requirements.
- Promptly report quality issues and concerns to the Quality Administrator.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- Ability to read and interpret customer drawings, technical specifications, and quality assurance standards.
- Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T;).
- Knowledge of machine shop and weld shop inspection techniques.
- Proficiency in using a variety of precision measuring and inspection equipment to verify parts, gauges, and fixtures.
- Familiarity with FAI, PPAP, control plans, and non-conformance management.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems is an asset.

Compensation

$22–$30 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
