SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST, DATA & ANALYTICS

Toronto-based IT company in the financial services and fintech industry. Focused on technology consulting, cloud computing, integration solutions, and enterprise data and analytics.

Looking for a Senior Business Analyst who will work closely with our project teams in GTA area to successfully deliver Application Development and System Integration projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

● Define business, process, reporting, integration, and system requirements for enterprise transformation initiatives including ERP, finance, and data platforms.

● Develop requirements strategies, priorities, epics and user stories.

● Lead requirements workshops and strategic discovery sessions with business leaders, subject matter experts, and technology teams to establish project objectives and priorities, business capabilities, operational requirements and measurable success criteria.

● Facilitate decision-making by identifying trade-offs, presenting recommendations, and building consensus across business and technical stakeholders.

● Develop reporting and dashboard mock-ups, wireframes, and visualization designs to communicate analytics requirements and target-state solutions.

● System integration specification analysis and documentation

● Elicit, analyze, and document reporting, analytics, KPI, and data integration requirements to support business decision-making.

● Partner with data engineering and reporting teams to define data requirements, mappings, and validation criteria for dashboards and enterprise reporting solutions.

● Facilitate meeting/interviews and communicate requirements to sponsors, stakeholders and project team members

● Verify the target solution and support the technology to ensure that the target system will meet the requirements

● Act as the functional lead and subject matter expert on the requirements throughout solution design, development, testing, and implementation activities.

● Develop test scenarios, support User Acceptance Testing (UAT),



and validate analytics solutions to ensure business requirements and reporting needs are met.

● Create user documentation, support adoption of analytics solutions, and provide guidance to business users on effective use of dashboards and reporting tools.

● Assist in work effort estimation and planning

● Help mentor and support junior Business Analysts and other team members

REQUIREMENTS

● Minimum 7 years' experience in Information Technology in agile environments with requirements strategies, product ownership, preferably supporting enterprise analytics, reporting, SaaS platforms, data integration, or digital transformation initiatives.

● At least 5 years’ experience of business and systems analysis in the Financial Industry

● Minimum bachelor's degree in computer science, Mathematics or Business

● Agile certification (CSPO, CSM, CSP, PMI-PBA, CBAP, or equivalent) considered an asset

● At least 3-years' experience of delivering projects using a true Agile/Scrum methodology

● Strong team player

● Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

● Robust business and IT knowledge and experience in the Banking and Financial Industries.

● Experience in requirement management and planning, defining user stories and test criteria.

● Experience in facilitating sessions with business and technical stakeholders for requirements elicitation or JAD Sessions.

● Experience gathering requirements for reporting, dashboards, analytics, and KPI development.

● Experience translating business requirements into data visualization mockups and dashboard designs.

● Ability to collaborate with data engineers on data integration, transformation, and data modelling requirements.

● Experience working with enterprise SaaS platforms such as Workday, Salesforce, ServiceNow, or similar systems would be considered an asset.

● Strong SQL skills with the ability to analyze data, validate requirements, and support reporting and analytics initiatives.

Pay: $90,000.00-$125,000.00 per year
