work orders and instructions to guide assembly and finishing processesMeasurement & Testing:Use measuring tools and perform mathematical calculations, including converting decimals to fractions to ensure accuracy and qualityUnit Finishing:Clean units using approved tools and chemicals, perform caulking and install bulb seals, windows, door handles, foam tape and other componentsComponent Preparation:Kit and prepare components to support efficient assembly and installationQuality Control:Identify, resolve and report quality concerns to ensure products meet company standardsTool Use:Safely operate air tools, electric tools, fabrication equipment and rigging devicesWorking at Heights:Work comfortably from ladders and elevated work areas as requiredUnit Testing:Set up and perform pressure, airflow, deflection, leak and sound testing, including ductwork connections, pitot tubing installation, RPM measurement, damper adjustments and data collectionDamper & Section Assembly:Install and prepare dampers, assembly unit splits and ensure proper orientation and sealing for testingMaterial Handling:Use overhead cranes and other equipment to safely move materials and load units for shipmentPackaging & Shipment:Wrap HVAC units in protective materials and prepare them for protected transportation to customersIndependent Work:Perform tasks independently with minimal supervision while meeting production goalsTeam Collaboration:Work effectively in a team environment, provide support to coworkers and contribute to a positive workplace cultureCross-Training :



Rotate between workstations and learn a variety of finishing and testing functions as requiredProblem Solving:Anticipate workflow needs, adapt to changing priorities and make informed decisions to support production efficiencyWhat We’re Looking For:ExperienceMinimum 1 year of construction experience (preferred)Minimum 1 year of skilled labour experience (preferred)Skills & QualificationsMechanical aptitude and willingness to learnAbility to read and interpret drawings and measurementsStrong attention to detailAbility to perform physically demanding workStrong communication and teamwork skillsReliable transportation requiredJob Details:Job Type:Full-time, IndoorLocation:Kingston, ON (On-Site)Starting Wage:$21.80 - $30.00 per hour, based on experienceShift Schedule:Rotating early mornings and afternoon shiftsMonday – Friday: 5:45 am – 2:15 pmMonday – Thursday: 2:30 pm – 12:30 amEvery other Friday offWeekend shifts not requiredOccasional overtime available based on production requirementsGrow With UsAt Haakon, we believe in developing our employees for long‑term success.
