Enhance Indigenous educational programs at the University of Manitoba’s School of Art Gallery. This part-time role focuses on developing cultural initiatives and community outreach.
The University of Manitoba is seeking an Indigenous Education and Outreach Coordinator for 21 hours a week. This position runs from October 13, 2026, to April 14, 2028, and is designated for Indigenous candidates. The role requires a solid understanding of Indigenous cultures and the ability to develop meaningful educational programs for various audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop educational programs and public workshops
• Build relationships with Indigenous communities and artists
• Ensure cultural protocols are respected in programs
• Research Indigenous artists for gallery collections
• Support engagement initiatives with the Vice-President (Indigenous)
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Indigenous Studies
• One year of administrative experience required
• Four years’ experience with educational groups
• Strong understanding of Indigenous protocols
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
