Stantec is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead its Power System Studies Center of Excellence. In this strategic role, you’ll manage EMT studies across generation, transmission, and distribution systems, focusing on integration of renewable energy and HVDC technologies. Your responsibilities will include guiding project methodologies, client meetings, and technical proposal preparations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead EMT power system studies projects from inception to completion • Guide the studies team in developing methodologies and preparing models • Engage with clients to report on project progress and results • Foster business development and develop proposal methodologies • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to team members
Requirements: • MSc or PhD in Electrical Engineering preferred • 15 years' experience in EMT studies using PSCAD • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng and/or PE) preferred • Knowledge of North American power systems and regulations • Solid background in power electronics and simulation tools
