Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optician to join our reputable optical practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in assisting patients with selecting and fitting eyewear, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting the overall operations of the optical department. This position offers an excellent prospect for individuals with a passion for eye health, retail sales, and delivering personalized patient care. Prior experience in optical settings or retail management is highly valued, along with familiarity with medical terminology and laboratory procedures.

Duties
Assist patients in selecting appropriate eyewear based on their prescriptions, lifestyle, and preferences
Take exact measurements for lens fitting and ensure proper alignment of frames
Educate patients on lens options, frame styles, and proper eyewear maintenance
Manage the ordering and processing of lenses and frames using optical software such as EVision
Conduct basic laboratory tasks including lens edging, mounting, and quality checks
Ensure all eyewear meets safety standards and fits comfortably
Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient questions and concerns with professionalism




Support retail sales efforts by promoting eyewear products and accessories to enhance patient satisfaction
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming optical environment

Qualifications
Laboratory experience or optical experience is highly desirable
Previous retail sales or customer service experience in a healthcare or retail setting is advantageous
Familiarity with optical software is a plus
Strong communication skills with the ability to educate and assist patients effectively
Ability to work well within a team and manage multiple tasks efficiently
Attention to detail to ensure accurate measurements and quality control in lens fitting
Prior experience in retail management or supervisory roles is beneficial but not required
