We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Referrals Clerk to join our busy Family Medicine Clinic. This role is essential to ensuring referrals are accurately tracked, completed, and followed through in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
Track and manage all outgoing referrals to specialist offices
Redirect referrals as required
Liaise with specialist offices regarding referral status, appointments, and missing information
Send medical records and supporting documentation as required
Notify patients of referral appointments and provide clear instructions
Track down missing or incomplete information on behalf of physicians
Maintain accurate referral documentation within the EMR
Ensure referrals are followed up on and not delayed or lost
Assist with booking appointments and patient inquiries

Qualifications & Skills
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Pleasant, qualified phone manner
Solid written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple referrals and competing priorities
Strong follow-up and problem-solving skills




Experience in a medical office or referral role is an asset
EMR experience and medical terminology knowledge preferred
