Luc’s European Meats, Cheeses & Eats – Gasoline Alley Farmers’ Market, Red Deer

Pay: $17–$20/hour
Hours: Approximately 16–20 hours per week
Schedule: Every Friday, Saturday & Sunday

Luc’s European Meats, Cheeses & Eats is looking for a friendly, reliable Part time Sales Associate to join our team at the Gasoline Alley Farmers’ Market in Red Deer.

This is a great position for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in outstanding customer service, and has an interest in gourmet food, cheese and charcuterie.

Regular Schedule
Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Saturday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Sunday: 11:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Applicants must be available to work every weekend on a consistent basis.

Responsibilities
Provide friendly and knowledgeable customer service
Assist customers with selecting cheeses, meats and other specialty products
Slice, portion, package and present products
Operate the till and process customer purchases
Restock and maintain attractive product displays
Keep the shop clean, organized and food-safe
Learn about our products and confidently make recommendations to customers




Assist with opening and closing duties

What We’re Looking For
Dependable and punctual
Friendly, outgoing and comfortable speaking with customers
Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Able to work independently as well as part of a team
Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting product/boxes as required
Retail, hospitality, deli or food-service experience is an asset
Interest in cheese, charcuterie and specialty foods is an asset — we are happy to teach the right person
