A&W; Cardston — Kitchen & Cashier Team Members (Full-Time & Part-Time)

A&W; Cardston is under new ownership and we're building a team of people who care about doing good work and serving their community. Whether you're looking for full-time hours or a versatile part time schedule, we'd love to hear from you.

Cardston is a tight-knit town of about 3,700 people in Alberta's southwest corner — a gateway to Waterton Lakes National Park, 45 minutes from Lethbridge, and surrounded by some of the best scenery in the province. A&W; has been part of this community for years, and we want to keep it that way by hiring locally. If you live in Cardston, the Blood Reserve, Glenwood, Hill Spring, Magrath, or anywhere nearby — this posting is for you.

No experience? No problem. We'll train you. What matters most is that you show up ready to work, treat people well, and take pride in what you do.

What you'll do:
Prepare menu items to A&W;'s quality and food safety standards — every burger, every time
Take and process orders accurately using our POS system
Handle cash and card transactions with care
Keep the kitchen, dining area, and workstations clean and organized throughout your shift
Greet every guest with a friendly attitude and suggest menu items when it feels natural

Follow all A&W; operating procedures, food handling protocols, and health & safety guidelines

What we expect:
Show up on time, in full uniform, ready to work
Follow A&W; food safety and sanitation standards — no shortcuts
Treat teammates and guests with respect
Communicate openly — if something's wrong, speak up
Take ownership of your station, whether it's cash or kitchen
Cell phones stay off the floor during your shift

What helps but isn't required:
Previous food service or customer-facing experience
Food safety certification (we'll help you get one if you don't have it)

What we offer:
Paid training
Staff meals
A clean, well-run restaurant with transparent expectations
Opportunity to grow into a shift lead or supervisory role

We're not looking for a perfect resume — we're looking for reliable people who want to be part of something valuable in this community. Students, parents returning to work, anyone looking for a fresh start — we encourage you to apply.
