We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pastry Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, baking, and decorating a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods to meet high standards of quality and presentation. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for baking, excellent food handling skills, and a commitment to food safety protocols. Duties
Prepare and bake a wide range of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to established recipes and standards
Decorate cakes and pastries with precision using various cake decorating techniques
Ensure all baked goods are prepared in accordance with food safety and hygiene regulations
Assist in food preparation tasks including ingredient measurement, mixing, and assembling baked items
Package finished products carefully for delivery or display while maintaining quality and freshness
Maintain cleanliness of the pastry station, equipment, and tools in compliance with health standards
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely production of baked goods during service hours




Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying management when restocking is needed
Support the team in developing new pastry recipes and presentation styles to enhance menu offerings

Requirements
Proven experience as a Pastry Cook or similar role within a restaurant or food industry setting
Robust skills in cake decorating, baking techniques, and food presentation
Knowledge of food handling procedures, food safety standards, and sanitation practices
Experience with food preparation, cooking methods, and kitchen operations
Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with colleagues and guests when necessary
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
Familiarity with packaging techniques for baked goods to ensure quality during transport or display
