Catalyst Surgical is a recent plastic surgery clinic in Toronto serving the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, with a specialty in gender-affirming surgery (top surgery, facial fem/masc, body contouring).

Overview:

We are looking for nurses to fill Scrub and Circulating roles at Catalyst.

Responsibilities:

Prepare the operating room for the day's surgeries

Prepare needed materials before surgeries

Ensure supplies are stocked in the operating room

Perform scrub and circulating duties

Turn over the operating room between surgeries

Pick cases for the next operating day

Shut down the operating room at the end of the day (closing procedures)

Reconcile medication and narcotic logs

Perform expected charting and logs for compliance

Admit patients for surgery if needed

May be asked to recover patients from time to time.

Must have:

-Current Certificate of Competence with CNO

-Completion of an Operating Room Nursing Course. This is mandatory.

-BLS/ACLS required

-Demonstrated ability to handle and triage multipe priorities





-Comfort with technology (EMR, messaging systems, mobile tech)

Outstanding to have:

Experience, lived or acquired, in the transgender/gender diverse community and/or in T/GD care is an asset.

Experience in plastic surgery, ENT, OMFS also an asset, but not required.

Ability to suture (if applying for OR position)
