Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate Part time Early Childhood Educator (ECE) to join our team in NW Calgary. This position offers an chance to make a positive impact on the lives of young children while working in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Hours are Monday to Friday from 10am-4pm. Shift could change based on needs of the centre.
Responsibilities
Educate and engage children in Early Childhood Education (ECE) activities
Create a secure and nurturing classroom environment
Provide caregiving and support to children
Implement developmentally appropriate practices for young learners
Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support children's growth and development
Interact with families at arrival, advising parents of the child's day, any reports to be signed, etc.
Closing daycare duties to be accomplished by multitasking (light cleaning while providing care)
Experience
Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred
Knowledge of Early Childhood Education principles and practices
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Level 1 certification minimum required
