Responsibilities
Load, feed, and align sheet metal stampings, brackets, and raw automotive components into production machinery and assembly fixtures.
Safely run production equipment according to standard operating procedures and daily production targets.
Conduct continuous visual and manual quality checks on finished parts using basic gauges to identify defects or burrs.
Inspect and confirm that all machine guards, emergency stops, and safety devices are intact and functioning prior to operation.
Report any missing guards, equipment malfunctions, or safety hazards immediately to the supervisor in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA).
Follow all safe work practices, including Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) protocols during clearing, maintenance, or setup, and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (hearing protection, safety boots, safety glasses, gloves).
Assist with part sorting, packing finished parts into bins or crates, labeling,
and general floor housekeeping (5S).
Skills & Qualifications
Robust mechanical aptitude and comfort working in an industrial manufacturing workplace with noise, machinery, grease, and lubricants.
High dependability, solid work ethic, and ability to handle physical production work.
Basic hand tool literacy and an eye for quality detail.
Ability to understand and follow written work instructions, safety signs, and operational guidelines.
Willingness to participate in mandatory workplace health and safety training (including WHMIS, Machine Guarding awareness, and Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures).
Previous factory or warehouse experience is an asset, but not required (on-the-job training provided).
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
