Position Overview
Kesatii Inc. is seeking a reliable and experienced Carpenter to join our team on a multi-storey apartment building project. The Carpenter will perform framing, layout, installation, and general carpentry work throughout the construction process.
Work hours: 7:00am - 5:00pm
Responsibilities
Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Complete wood and metal framing, including walls, floors, and other building components.
Perform layout, measurements, cutting, and installation of materials.
Construct and install forms, blocking, backing, sheathing, and other carpentry components.
Complete rough and finish carpentry as required.
Install doors, frames, trim, and other finishing components.
Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Work with the Site Supervisor and other trades to coordinate construction activities.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Identify and report construction issues, deficiencies, or material requirements to the Site Supervisor.
Complete work according to project schedules, drawings, and quality standards.
Perform other general carpentry and construction duties as required.
Qualifications
Previous carpentry experience, preferably in commercial or multi-family construction.
Experience with framing and general construction carpentry.
Ability to read construction drawings and accurately take measurements.
Knowledge of carpentry tools, materials, and construction methods.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable transportation to the job site.
Relevant safety certifications are considered an asset.
Pay: $33.00 per hour
