Nunavut Alarms & Security is seeking a CFAA-certified Fire Alarm Technician to work as an independent, on-call contractor providing fire alarm service and support throughout Nunavut.
The successful contractor must be experienced, reliable, and prepared to mobilize and travel on short notice to any of Nunavut’s 26 communities when required.
Assignments may include emergency service calls, troubleshooting, repairs, inspections, testing, and system verification.
Requirements:
Current CFAA registration or equivalent recognized certification
Robust fire-alarm service and troubleshooting experience
Knowledge of applicable Canadian codes and ULC standards
Ability to travel anywhere in Nunavut on short notice
Valid driver’s licence
Own standard tools and required PPE
Ability to work independently and prepare accurate service documentation
Security clearance or ability to obtain one is an asset
Compensation:
$55-$70 per hour, based on qualifications and experience
Flights, accommodations and approved travel expenses provided
Contract terms based on qualifications, experience, and availability
