Production Associate – Swole Bears

Location: Mount Uniacke, NS (Pending Facility Opening)

Swole Bears is a fast-growing Nova Scotia food company making high-protein gummy bears. We're looking for 3 Production Associates to join our team as we scale our manufacturing facility.

This is a outstanding prospect to join a growing company from the beginning and help scale production across Atlantic Canada.

Responsibilities

During your first month, you'll be trained in:
Removing gummy bears from molds (demolding)
Inspecting products for quality
Weighing and packaging finished products
Heat sealing bags
Applying labels and lot codes
Cleaning and sanitizing equipment and workstations
Following food safety and sanitation procedures

As you become comfortable with production, you'll also be trained to:
Prepare ingredients according to recipes
Operate commercial cooking equipment
Cook and mix batches of gummy bears
Monitor temperatures, weights, and production records

Qualifications
Reliable and punctual




Able to stand for extended periods
Comfortable lifting up to 25 kg (55 lb)
Robust attention to detail
Able to follow written procedures accurately
Food manufacturing or kitchen experience is an asset, but not required
Food Handler Certification is an asset (training can be provided)
Good hand eye coordination
