Richmond Elevator Maintenance Ltd. is seeking four (4) proactive and highly organized Maintenance Area Leads to manage field service schedules, and uphold our commitment to safety and quality service. Working directly under the Maintenance Manager, you will serve as the primary link between our Dispatch Department and Mechanics in the field. Your core mission is to ensure smooth field operations, minimize service downtime, and efficiently resolve real-time logistical challenges.

What you’ll do
Liaise between our Dispatch Department and Mechanics when work is delayed or a mechanic needs support meeting expectations.
Monitor maintenance completion, work quality, documentation, and recurring service issues.
Coach employees, assess performance, and address conduct and attendance concerns.
Approve time off, arrange coverage, and review and approve time records, including overtime, call-outs, and premiums.
Support secure work practices and resolve day-to-day issues with Dispatch, Payroll, and the Maintenance Manager.

What you bring




Experience leading people and addressing performance concerns fairly.
Robust organization, communication, and follow-through.
Solid computer skills, including Microsoft products, and the ability to learn several software systems.
Comfort visiting customer sites and entering elevator machine rooms after the required safety training.
A valid driver’s licence and the ability to travel throughout your assigned area.

No experience with elevators required.

Candidates must be comfortable working in loud machine rooms. As well as possess the leadership skills necessary to guide an experienced field team.

Company cars are available to employees with a clean driver’s abstract. This field-based role may involve occasional urgent matters outside regular business hours.

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
