Full Job Description

The Department of National Defence (DND) is seeking a qualified Senior Stores Person to join the Supply Section (Clothing Stores) at Garrison Petawawa. Due to unit growth and increased operational demands, you will play a critical role in managing, safeguarding, and issuing military materiel to ensure troop readiness.

This position balances hands-on warehouse operations with detailed administrative tracking in both warehouse and office settings.

Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations: Handle the complete lifecycle of military materiel—receiving, cataloging, storing, packing, loading/unloading, and issuing stock.
Inventory & Auditing: Track stock movements, interpret stock descriptions/catalogues, perform inventory math,



and maintain hard-copy archival files for official audits.
Equipment Operation: Safely operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE) like forklifts and pallet jacks, alongside various hand and power tools.
Asset Safeguarding & Safety: Protect military assets against loss or damage and proactively report safety hazards or facility damage.
Office & Facility Care: Maintain computer systems, office equipment, furniture, and work group spaces.

Qualifications & Requirements
Security Clearance: Must possess an active Secret security clearance. (Required)
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of demonstrated experience in supply, logistics, warehousing, or inventory management within a DND or CANSOFCOM workplace. (Required)
Technical Skills: Ability to use office computers, conduct inventory arithmetic, and operate standard MHE/tools.
Physical & Gear Requirements: Must wear protective footwear and suitable workwear (PPE provided as needed). Suitable outdoor clothing is required for moving between base buildings and working outdoors.
