Job Overview
Temporary position with the possibility of transitioning to permanent employment
We are seeking a friendly, detail oriented and easy-going individual. This position is a excellent opportunity for candidates seeking employment in the Financial Industry.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Maintain client files and information through imaging and document management
Process and reconcile financial transactions, settlements, and account adjustments associated with daily trading activities
Process the opening and registration of Nominee Self-Directed Accounts on behalf of institutional clients
Ensuring nominee structures are accurately reflected in internal systems, including account ownership hierarchies and linked underlying clients where required
Support Compliance and audit processes, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements (e.g. AML, KYC, FATCA)
Assist in system upgrades, processing improvements and automation initiatives
Coordinate with other administrative staff to support overflow work, including emails and data entry tasks
Investigate and provide appropriate solutions to problems that are identified
Maintain confidentiality and ensure data integrity across all back-office systems
Additional Ad hoc duties as required
Requirements:
3+ years of experience in a back-office, operations, or administrative role within a financial institution
Strong understanding of financial products, settlements, and reconciliation processes
Familiarity with banking systems, core financial software, and Microsoft Office
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks (e.g. KYC/AML)
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
-Detail oriented with a thorough and methodical work style
Technologically proficient and able to learn current systems quickly and efficiently
Eagerness to take initiative on a variety of tasks
Solid interpersonal skills for corresponding with a variety of personalities
Exceptional multi-tasking and organization skills
Certification in CSC or IFIC would be an asset
Knowledge in Estates Settlements would be an asset
Pay: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
Ability to commute/relocate:
Toronto, ON M5H 3T9: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Education:
Bachelor's Degree (required)
Experience:
Financial Industry: 3 years (required)
Licence/Certification:
CSC or IFIC (preferred)
