Prep Cook / Line Cook – Chinese Seafood Restaurant

Job Type: Full-time / Part-time

Pay: $19–$24/hour + Tips, depending on experience

THE FISH MAN is a busy Chinese seafood restaurant in Richmond specializing in live seafood, wok cooking, BBQ, and traditional Chinese dishes.

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Prep Cook / Line Cook to join our kitchen team.

Responsibilities
Prepare vegetables, seafood, meat, sauces, and other ingredients for daily service
Portion and organize ingredients according to kitchen standards
Assist with line cooking and plating during service
Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked workstation
Follow food safety, sanitation, and storage procedures
Receive and properly store kitchen supplies and ingredients
Work efficiently with the kitchen team during high-volume service
Assist with general kitchen duties as needed

Requirements
Previous restaurant kitchen experience preferred
Experience in a high-volume restaurant is an asset
Basic knife skills and food preparation knowledge




Able to work quickly and stay organized during busy service
Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working as part of a team
Able to stand for extended periods and lift kitchen supplies when required
FoodSafe certification is an asset
Experience with Chinese or Asian cuisine is an asset
