Payroll Specialist – $80,000 to 90,000.00 base – Brampton - 6 month contract +

JOB SUMMARY

Our client is looking for a Payroll Specialist who will work closely with ADP to manage payroll for the company.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate with ADP to process payroll in a timely manner ensuring the integrity of payroll data;
Support ADP upgrade implementation
Ensure all pays are validated before final submission for processing to ADP
Escalate potential service issues to management
Assist ADP in the preparation of year end processing related reporting
Support internal and external audits;
Provide assistance and payroll information to non-unionized employees
Awareness of legislation and payroll procedures relating to Ontario/Canada an asset
Work shift: Monday to Friday - in-person

EXPERIENCE
Minimum 5 years + experience in a similar position (full payroll cycle)
Experience with ADP is essential
4 Years + Payroll experience
Experience working with Ontario (Canada) Payroll




Knowledge of rules and regulations regarding Ontario/Canada payroll standards

CORE COMPETENCIES
Member of the Canadian Payroll Association an asset
Knowledge of MS Office, Outlook, Excel
Ability to multi-task & simultaneously manage a high volume of projects
Ability to work in a team-oriented setting
Ability to work independently in a time sensitive workplace
Highly discreet when dealing with sensitive employee payroll matters
Reliable, organized, adapt quickly to change, and deliver under the pressure of tight deadlines
