About African Foodways

African Foodways operates a multi-location grocery and warehouse network. Behind every stocked shelf is a warehouse team that keeps product moving accurately and on time. We're looking for people who take pride in physical, hands-on work done right.

The Prospect

As a General Labourer, you'll be part of the backbone of our warehouse operations — receiving, moving, organizing, and preparing product for distribution to our stores.

What You'll Do
Load and unload delivery trucks safely and efficiently
Move inventory using pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other warehouse equipment
Sort, stack, and organize products in designated storage areas
Pick and prepare orders for store distribution
Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of safety hazards
Perform inventory counts and report discrepancies
Assist with general maintenance and warehouse upkeep tasks as needed
Follow all workplace safety procedures,



including proper lifting techniques and PPE use

What We're Looking For
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout a shift
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding workplace, including cold storage areas
Previous warehouse or general labour experience is an asset, but not required
Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Flexible availability, including early mornings and weekends
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
