Shape the safety of Toronto as a Full time Dispatcher for Toronto Community Housing. This role requires crisis intervention skills and customer service expertise while managing communications and dispatch operations.Join the Community Safety Unit as a Dispatcher, working rotating 12-hour shifts across all times of day. Your role will involve quick-paced decision-making, receiving calls, and dispatching services to ensure community safety. You will be integral in monitoring Special Constables and responding effectively to a range of emergency situations.Key Responsibilities:
Receive and assess public calls for service
Initiate police, fire, and ambulance responses
Dispatch officers and monitor their field activities
Maintain detailed records within confidential systems
Conduct CPIC checks as requiredRequirements:
Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
Ability to work various shifts including nights and weekends
Solid customer service and crisis intervention skills
Proficiency in data entry and communication systems
