In this essential role, you will mentor assigned guards, ensuring effective coverage during absences. Rovers play a crucial role in facilitating protected crossings and addressing any traffic-related emergencies with calm and good judgment.Key Responsibilities:
Supervise pedestrian movement across roadways
Monitor vehicle and pedestrian traffic at designated crossings
Mentor Crossing Guards by modeling crossing techniques
Respond to emergencies involving pedestrians and vehicles
Report safety issues to your supervisorRequirements:
Previous Crossing Guard experience preferred
Valid Class "G" Ontario Driver's License
Ability to work in various weather conditions
Solid communication and relationship-building skills
