Your New Role
Reporting to the site safety team, you will spend most of your time in the field supporting protected work execution, conducting inspections, coaching workers, and ensuringpliance with safety standards and regulations.
You will also support contractor safety programs, hazard assessments, and incident investigations while helping strengthen a positive safety culture.
Key Responsibilities• Conduct field inspections, safety assessments, and critical control reviews. • Support high-risk work activities and verify appropriate controls are in place. • Provide on-the-spot coaching to employees and contractors. • Assess contractorpetency andpliance with safety requirements. • Identify,municate, and help resolve workplace hazards and safety trends. • Support incident investigations, hazard assessments, and contractor safety planning.
What You'll Need to Succeed
Must-Have Requirements• CRSP, CRST, CSO, OHS diploma/degree,
or equivalent safety credentials. • 10+ years of safety experience in high-risk industrial environments, ideally oil and gas. • Strong knowledge of CNESST and applicable safety regulations. • Experience supporting confined space entry, excavation, working at heights, and LOTO. • Strong stakeholder engagement andmunication skills. • Fluency in both French and English.
Nice-to-Have Requirements• Experience developing contractor health and safety plans. • Knowledge of Human and Organizational Performance (HOP) principles. • Experience promoting reporting, learning, and continuous improvement cultures.
