Associate Pastor of Family Ministries (Full Time)
Profile Requirement: Character and Calling The individual we are seeking will be a born again disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ and has experienced baptism by immersion. The candidate will demonstrate maturity in faith and life and is described by their references as available, reliable, faithful, and teachable. The individual we are seeking must be persuaded of the call of God to full time vocational ministry and have the support of his family, and his calling should be confirmed by others.
The person we are seeking must have a positive reputation in his community and be able and willing to affirm the Parkland Baptist Statement of Faith and Constitution and teach in accordance with them and nothing contrary to them.
Qualifications

- A graduate of an accredited evangelical institution with a three-four year degree in a program applicable to the position
- Willing to pursue an MDiv at an accredited evangelical institution with a high view of the inspiration, inerrancy, and authority of Scripture.

- Previous experience in youth ministry in a church or para-church ministry
- Administration skills, i.e. organization and planning, efficient communication
- Teaching abilities and be effective in mentoring
- Proficient in computer use, Microsoft Office and other popular programs
Ministry Duties General The successful candidate will be a pastor of the church, assisting and supporting the Lead Pastor in shepherding and guiding the congregation. The successful candidate will participate in all the aspects of the ministry of the church, under the supervision and mentorship of the Lead Pastor. This will include…
- Being available to assist in the Sunday morning service
- Being available for pulpit supply,
assistance with funerals, weddings, infant dedications, and baptisms
- Keeping regular office hours and assisting with administration
- Being a resource to committee heads and helping where needed when available
- Attending appropriate meetings, i.e. staff, elders, board, and congregational
- Being available for ABA meetings and specifically cluster groups
Student Ministry The successful candidate will lead and oversee a student ministry for grades 7-12. He will develop opportunities to integrate with the greater church body so as to build unity within the church body. He will endeavor to increase Biblical literacy and understanding with the youth, to help build their faith and give them the abilities and the confidence to live their faith out. Accountability/Line of Authority The Associate Pastor will report directly to the Lead Pastor and will be accountable to him for his performance, evaluation and supervision.
