Responsibilities And Duties
- General supervision and monitoring of students during lunch breaks in the cafeteria and in the yard.
- Assist students to open lunch containers and clean tables after lunch.
- Create simple,
healthful menus for breakfasts or snacks.
- Plan food and supply purchases to maximize the budget while adhering to the Nutrition Guidelines.
- Handle, transport, store, prepare and serve foods safely.
- Accurately track and record the number of meals prepared daily for monthly reporting purposes.
- Be informed about the schools annual nutrition budget and stay within it.
- Submit all receipts/invoices to the In-School Team member responsible for entering data into Webtracker each month.
- Read and understand training materials.
- Liaise with the ONFE SBP Community Development Coordinator assigned to the school.
- Be aware of all health and safety procedures, and the schools emergency procedures (e.g., shelter-inplace, fire, choking, allergic reactions, etc.).
Qualifications And Experience
- Positive communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to be calm in a crisis
- Tact and discretion
- First Aid and CPR certification would be an asset
Salary: These are casual positions working approximately 1.5 hours per day, five (5) days per week, from 7:30-9:00 am with an hourly wage of $17.60 plus 4% in lieu of vacation pay.
