Job Title: IAM Engineer with Python Development Experience Location: Montreal, QC Work Arrangement: Onsite Employment Type: Full-Time FTE Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced IAM Engineer with strong Python development and automation experience to support enterprise Identity and Access Management and Directory Services environments.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with PingDS (Forge

Rock Directory Services), Python, Linux/RHEL, LDAP/LDAPS, scripting, automation, APIs, and production support .

The role requires a combination of IAM engineering, directory services, Python development, automation, migration, deployment, troubleshooting, and production operations experience.

Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain production-quality Python applications, scripts, utilities, automation tools, and integrations supporting IAM and Directory Services.

Build Python-based solutions for automation, data processing, migration, reconciliation, validation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and operational activities .

Support PingDS / Forge

Rock Directory Services environments, including configuration, deployment, migration, upgrades, maintenance, and production support.

Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot PingDS plugins, extensions, and custom integrations where required.

Work with existing Java-based PingDS components and understand their integration with the overall IAM environment.

Support directory migrations, upgrades, deployments, data reconciliation, validation, and production implementation activities.

Develop and consume REST APIs and integrations using Python and other technologies.





Troubleshoot IAM and directory-related issues across application, infrastructure, network, and data layers.

Perform Linux/RHEL administration and troubleshooting, including filesystem, permissions, processes, services, networking, log analysis, and performance troubleshooting .

Develop Python and Bash/Shell automation to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual activities.

Work with LDAP/LDAPS, directory schemas, replication, certificates, TLS, REST APIs, JSON, and IAM security concepts .

Participate in application and platform deployments using CI/CD pipelines and modern engineering practices .

Use Git-based source control, code reviews, testing frameworks, package management, and secure coding practices.

Support production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes and automation improvements.

Collaborate with IAM, security, application, infrastructure, and Dev

Ops teams on complex technical issues.

Required Technical Skills: Strong hands-on Python development experience.

Experience building Python automation, utilities, APIs/integrations, data-processing solutions, and production scripts .

Strong experience with IAM / Identity and Access Management technologies.





Hands-on experience with PingDS / Forge

Rock Directory Services is strongly preferred.

Experience with PingDS migration, upgrade, configuration, deployment, and production support .

Experience with PingDS plugins, extensions, or custom integrations is a plus.

Working knowledge of Java and ability to understand existing Java-based components is desirable.

Strong Linux/RHEL experience.

Robust scripting experience with Python and Bash/Shell .

Experience with LDAP/LDAPS, directory services, replication, schemas, certificates, TLS, REST APIs, and JSON .

Experience with Git, CI/CD, testing frameworks, Python package management, and code review practices .

Understanding of IAM security fundamentals and secure development practices.

Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. AI / GenAI Skills: Basic understanding of AI/GenAI concepts .

Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Git

Hub Copilot, ChatGPT, or equivalent tools for coding, scripting, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting.

Ability to validate AI-generated code and follow appropriate security, quality, privacy, and secure-use practices .

Preferred Skills: Experience with C/C++ .

Experience with enterprise IAM transformation or directory migration projects.

Experience supporting large-scale, highly available production IAM environments.

Experience with CI/CD and Dev

Ops automation.

Experience in enterprise security, banking, financial services, or other regulated environments.
