Are you looking for a hands-on career where no two days are the same? Join Gerdau as a Yard Operator and become an essential part of our operations team!

As a Yard Operator, youll play a key role in maintaining protected, efficient, and productive yard operations. From inspecting and grading scrap materials to operating heavy equipment and supporting daily yard activities, youll be part of a team that keeps our business moving forward.

What Youll Do

• Operate loaders, material handlers, and other mobile equipment safely and efficiently


• Inspect incoming and outgoing scrap materials for quality and environmental standards


• Assist with loading, unloading, and processing ferrous and non-ferrous materials


• Perform daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance checks


• Support inventory management and operational efficiency initiatives


• Deliver outstanding customer service and work collaboratively with your team


• Participate in daily safety activities and uphold Gerdaus strong safety culture

What Were Looking For

• Previous experience operating heavy equipment is an asset


• Interest in learning scrap grading and recycling operations


• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
