Areas of expertise include roofing and sealant replacement, exterior cladding systems, windows and doors, waterproofing, structural repairs, and ongoing maintenance work.
Role Description This is a full time, on-site Carpenter role based in Metro Vancouver A, BC. The Carpenter will perform a variety of building envelope and structural carpentry tasks, including framing, rot and structural repairs, installation of rain-screen cladding systems, and finish carpentry work. Daily responsibilities include working with hand tools and power tools, assisting with window and door replacement,
deck and foundation-related repairs, and collaborating with site supervisors and crew members to meet project timelines and quality standards.
The role also involves reading and interpreting drawings, maintaining a safe and organized work area, and following company safety procedures and COR standards.
Qualifications
- Strong carpentry skills, including framing and finish carpentry, with experience in residential or commercial construction.
- Proficiency using power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of building envelope systems, exterior cladding, and basic waterproofing techniques is an asset.
- Understanding and adherence to construction safety practices; COR-related experience is an advantage.
- Physical ability to perform demanding site work, including lifting, climbing, and working at heights, in varying weather conditions.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to quality workmanship and meeting project deadlines.
- Previous experience as a Carpenter or relevant trade certification/apprenticeship is preferred.
