Role Description The Contents Technician is a full time, hybrid position based in Langley, BC, with some work-from-home flexibility depending on operational needs. In this role, the technician handles the packing, labeling, inventory, and transport of residential and commercial contents related to insurance claims. Typical tasks include documenting items in Encircle or similar platforms, preparing contents for storage or processing, and assisting with NR listing as required.
The technician helps set up and maintain clean, organized workspaces, supports onsite teams during moves and restoration projects, and follows company procedures for handling, safety,
and security. The role may involve direct communication with internal teams, insurance representatives, and occasionally clients, ensuring timely, accurate updates on the status of contents and claim-related tasks.
Qualifications
- Experience with contents handling, packing, and inventory management for residential or commercial properties.
- Ability to use digital tools for documentation (e.g., Encircle or similar platforms) and maintain accurate records.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when labeling, tracking, and processing items.
- Capability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, and moving contents safely and efficiently.
- Understanding of or willingness to learn IICRC standards and best practices related to contents and restoration.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with teammates, supervisors, and insurance partners.
- Reliable transportation to and from worksites in and around Langley, BC.
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in restoration, moving, warehousing, or insurance-related work is an asset.
- Ability to work both onsite and remotely, manage time independently, and adapt to changing priorities.
