Who we need

Reporting to the CEO, we are hiring a Controller to lead CYBERWELL’s finance function and advance the financial processes, insights, and discipline that support the business. You will oversee accounting, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis while leading a Senior Accountant and partnering with business leaders to strengthen financial understanding and accountability. Working closely with the WELL Health Finance team, you will ensure reporting requirements are met while owning how financial processes operate within CYBERWELL .

This is an existing full-time, remote role based anywhere in Canada.

Breadth, ownership, and room to grow. You will have meaningful ownership within CYBERWELL while benefiting from the reach, expertise, and established finance network of WELL Health. You will deepen the partnership between finance and the business, develop financial capability among operational leaders, and lead and develop a strong Senior Accountant, while helping shape the capabilities and resources the finance function needs as the business evolves.

As our new Controller, you will

- Lead accounting operations and controls. You will lead core accounting functions ,including general ledger and revenue recognition in accordance with IFRS and WELL accounting policies. Oversee accruals, prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations, and coordinate the reconciliation and resolution of intercompany balances. Own the month-end close and ensure accurate, complete and timely financial results, coordinating with Shared Services on key inputs and reporting requirements. Maintain effective internal controls, supporting documentation and audit-ready processes. Prepare and review working papers for quarterly and annual financial reporting,



manage external audit queries, and improve accounting processes to support efficiency and scalability.
- Oversee budgeting and forecasting. You will lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts and longer-term financial planning in partnership with business leaders. You will develop models linking revenue, staffing, utilization and delivery costs to financial outcomes. You will establish clear assumptions, timelines and ownership, challenge inputs constructively, and use scenario analysis to inform resource allocation and business decisions.
- Develop financial reporting and analysis. You will prepare and review financial statements and management reporting, providing clear commentary on results, variances, risks and opportunities. You will develop reporting that gives leadership actionable visibility into revenue, margins, operating expenses, cash flow and business unit performance. You will translate results into clear recommendations, highlighting emerging trends, their operational implications and decisions required from leadership. You will continue to advance the use of financial data and metrics to give leaders deeper insight into costs, resource utilization and allocation.
- Foster business partnerships and accountability. You will establish a regular financial review cadence with business unit leads, with clear expectations for timely inputs, forecast quality, budget ownership and performance improvement. You will empower leaders with practical insights and tools, constructively challenge assumptions, and hold them accountable for agreed actions and timelines. You will strengthen financial capability across the business, helping operational leaders build greater confidence and ownership of the financial aspects of their work. You will escalate material risks and unresolved issues to executive leadership.
- Increase visibility into client, contract and service profitability. You will define financial requirements for cost allocation, time tracking and utilization reporting, partnering with business leaders to improve data completeness and reliability. You will identify margin leakage, cost inefficiencies and opportunities to improve EBITDA. You will partner with business leaders to implement improvements and validate the financial impact.
- Optimize finance processes. You will strengthen finance processes, systems, data quality and reporting across the business. You will establish consistent financial practices and scalable tools, improve reporting reliability, and drive adoption of processes that reduce manual effort and support timely decisions. Building on the progress already made, you will have meaningful autonomy to determine how CYBERWELL ’s internal finance processes while ensuring broader corporate reporting requirements are met.
- Partner with Business Finance and Shared Services. You will work together with groups to ensure effective delivery of finance activities across the business. You will maintain clear responsibilities, handoffs and delivery expectations, support timely inputs and approvals, and coordinate resolution of issues affecting financial accuracy, controls or business operations. You will partner with business leaders and Shared Services on cash flow forecasting and working capital management. You will support visibility into cash requirements and resolve issues affecting billing, collections and financial commitments.
- Support strategic decisions through technical accounting. You will assess accounting treatment for material contracts and transactions, coordinating complex IFRS matters with corporate finance or external advisers as needed. You will provide financial analysis for pricing, hiring, investment, commercial proposals and growth initiatives. You will partner with executive leadership to connect operating priorities with financial plans, capacity and measurable outcomes.



As the business evolves, you will bring your financial perspective to broader cross-functional initiatives where strong financial leadership can improve business outcomes.
- Guide a team. You will supervise and develop the Senior Accountant, setting clear priorities, reviewing work for accuracy and completeness, and supporting professional development. As the finance function evolves, you will have the chance to influence the capabilities and resources needed to support the business.

You bring

- Education: CPA designation strongly preferred.
- The experience. You have progressive accounting and finance experience, ideally including as a Controller or senior finance role with meaningful ownership of FP&A; and business partnership. Ideally, you have or are pursuing your CPA designation. Experience in a SaaS or similar recurring-revenue environment would be valuable. You are comfortable operating in an evolving environment, balancing leadership, technical accounting, and process optimization. You are equally comfortable setting direction and remaining close to the work when needed.
- The FP&A; expertise. You have in-depth knowledge of financial reporting, IFRS, internal controls, month-end close and audit requirements. You have experience leading budgets, forecasts, financial modelling, variance analysis, and profitability assessments, and you can translate findings into practical business actions. You have demonstrated success improving financial processes, cost visibility and management reporting, establishing reliable planning disciplines, and driving adoption among non-finance leaders. Experience working with Shared Services and multiple business units is an asset.
- The leadership skills. You have exceptional communication skills and can work across levels and teams, influencing decision-makers and guiding team members. You have a proven ability to build financial capability among non-finance leaders, challenge assumptions constructively and hold others accountable for commitments and results. You excel at fostering cross-functional, collaborative relationships at any level. You have sound commercial judgement and can balance detail with broader business priorities. You bring the confidence to operate autonomously, the judgment to know when to collaborate or escalate, and the credibility to be a trusted financial partner to senior leadership.
- The technical skills. You have advanced Excel skills, and you are highly proficient with financial systems. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics and Vena is preferred.

Compensation The salary range for this position is $130-155K. The salary will be determined based on several factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and the needs of the organization.
