Why Join BoomerangFX?

BoomerangFX is redefining how private-pay healthcare practices operate and grow. Recognized through Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500 program as one of North America’s fastest-growing technology companies, BFX brings together practice management software, digital marketing, and AI-powered solutions to help healthcare providers build stronger, more profitable businesses.

With offices across Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, and India, we are building a global healthcare technology company with an ambitious vision: to become the AI operating system and growth infrastructure for private-pay healthcare.

Our next phase requires financial leadership and operational discipline to turn rapid growth into lasting enterprise value.

As Director of Finance & Operations, you will work closely with the CEO and leadership team to shape strategic plans, strengthen financial oversight, and improve performance across the business.

This is a hands-on leadership opportunity with meaningful influence over how BFX invests, operates, and scales. We are looking for an accomplished CPA who brings verifiable experience in high-growth software or technology-enabled companies—and the judgment, ownership, and execution skills to help build our next stage of growth.

Your Role in a Nutshell

You will lead financial oversight, strategic planning, board reporting, and operational performance management across multiple business lines and international markets.

Working closely with the CEO and departmental leaders, you will translate business strategy into budgets, forecasts, operating priorities, and measurable results. You will strengthen cash management, improve profitability, evaluate growth investments, and ensure leadership has accurate information to make timely decisions.

The ideal candidate combines rigorous accounting and financial management skills with commercial judgment and proven operational leadership. You must be comfortable challenging assumptions, holding teams accountable, and moving between strategic analysis and detailed execution.

What You Will Do

Financial Oversight and Control

- Oversee accounting, financial reporting, internal controls, and the integrity of financial information across the business.
- Lead timely monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, including financial statements, variance analysis, and management commentary.
- Oversee billing, revenue recognition, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll controls.
- Coordinate external accountants, auditors, and tax advisers to meet reporting and compliance obligations.
- Strengthen financial policies, approval processes, and controls as the company scales.

Cash Management and Profitability

- Own cash-flow planning, including a rolling 13-week cash forecast and longer-term liquidity projections.
- Improve collections, working capital, spending discipline, and visibility into cash commitments.
- Analyze profitability by product, service, customer segment, and market.
- Identify and execute opportunities to improve gross margins, control operating costs, and increase cash generation.

- Evaluate spending and investment proposals against expected returns, payback periods, and business priorities.

Operational Oversight

- Partner with departmental leaders to establish operating plans, budgets, KPIs, and clear accountability for results.
- Lead regular performance reviews, identifying gaps and ensuring corrective actions have owners and deadlines.
- Oversee cross-functional improvement initiatives that strengthen productivity, resource utilization, and execution.
- Assess headcount plans, vendor contracts, procurement, and operating expenditures.
- Improve workflows, reporting systems, and data quality through automation and appropriate use of AI.
- Lead and mentor finance team members while building effective partnerships across Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Product, and Operations.

Strategic Planning and Business Analysis

- Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and the financial component of strategic planning.
- Develop financial models, scenario analyses, and business cases for hiring, pricing, product investments, partnerships, and international expansion.
- Monitor SaaS and recurring-revenue metrics, including ARR, retention, churn, gross margin, customer acquisition costs, and payback.
- Translate financial and operational data into clear recommendations on where to invest, improve, defer, or stop.
- Balance growth opportunities with disciplined progress toward sustainable profitability.
- Support financing, due diligence, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives as required.

Board and Executive Reporting

- Own preparation of board financial packages, executive dashboards, and performance presentations.
- Provide clear analysis of financial results, forecasts, cash position, business risks, and recommended actions.
- Explain the operational drivers behind performance and highlight material changes against plan.
- Ensure board and executive reporting is accurate, consistent, timely, and supported by reliable information.

What We’re Looking For

Mandatory Qualifications

- CPA designation in good standing.
- At least 10 years of progressive, relevant professional experience following university graduation.
- Demonstrated, verifiable experience in high-growth software, SaaS, or technology-enabled companies. Candidates must be able to substantiate their responsibilities and achievements through specific examples and professional references.
- Proven accountability for financial oversight, including accounting, financial statements, internal controls, budgeting, forecasting, and cash management.
- Demonstrated operational oversight beyond finance, with experience driving cross-functional performance and execution.
- Direct experience in strategic planning, financial modeling,

and evaluating business investments.
- Hands-on experience preparing board reporting and presenting financial insights to senior executives, boards, or investors.
- Robust understanding of recurring-revenue business models and the relationship between growth, retention, margins, and cash.
- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills and experience with accounting, ERP, and financial reporting systems.
- Proven ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and hold others accountable for commitments.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to turn complex information into practical business recommendations.

Experience That Will Set You Apart

- Helping a growth company achieve break-even or materially improve profitability.
- Managing multiple entities, currencies, or international operations.
- Experience in healthcare technology or businesses combining software subscriptions and services.
- Implementing finance systems, reporting automation, or AI-enabled process improvements.
- Supporting capital raises, acquisitions, or transaction readiness.

How You Work

You take ownership, exercise sound judgment, and follow through. You are commercially minded, analytical, and comfortable operating in an environment where priorities evolve quickly. You challenge assumptions constructively and build practical processes that help people make better decisions and deliver results.

What is in it for you:

Equity: Eligible to participate in BoomerangFX Stock Option Plan after 6 months, subject to plan terms.

Benefits:

- Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage.
- Paid vacation.
- Free in office parking.
- Opportunity to work closely with the CEO and senior leadership on consequential business decisions.
- Meaningful responsibility for building the financial and operational foundations of a growing global technology company.
- Opportunity to shape how BFX allocates capital, improves performance, and scales internationally.

How to Apply
