KEY QUALIFICATIONS : Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business, Education, Adult Learning or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Considerable experience in the use of assessment methodologies to identify training gaps, planning, designing, developing, delivering and organizing training courses and programs.
Considerable experience in adult education principles, practices, training and evaluation methodologies.
Considerable experience in evaluating training effectiveness using data, metrics or tracking systems.
Considerable experience in designing Captivate content and deploy it through systems like ELI or other LMS platforms.
Completion of, or progress toward, the CTDP (Certified Training and Development Professional) designation will be considered as a solid asset.
Ability to facilitate and present to small and large groups.
Comprehensive knowledge of the childcare sector and relevant legislation,
corporate policies and Divisional philosophies Ability to integrate legislative, policy, and procedural changes into training and staffing plans.
Proficiency in computer software (e.g.
Microsoft Office) to produce a variety of reports and presentations and to develop computerized tracking processes to monitor course attendance.
Excellent interpersonal skills to deal effectively with staff, all levels of management, community stakeholders and internal/external service providers.
Excellent negotiation and conflict management skills in order constructively resolve conflicts.
Ability to develop information and communication strategies and prepare briefings for senior leadership.
Knowledge of applicable collective agreements and legislation in the areas of Employment, Occupational Health and Safety, Labour Relations and Human Rights.
