Role Description The Handyman role at BB Construction Inc. is a part-time, hybrid position based in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada, with some work-from-home tasks such as coordination, scheduling, and documentation. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing residential and commercial repairs, minor renovations, maintenance tasks, and basic installation work (e.g., fixtures, hardware, and finishes, flooring and drywall installation). The Handyman will assist with preparation and cleanup of job sites, conduct inspections to identify repair needs, and communicate clearly with clients and team members regarding project status and timelines.

The role also involves following safety standards, using tools and equipment correctly,



and supporting project leads to ensure work is completed efficiently and to company quality standards.

Qualifications

- Ability to perform general maintenance and repair work, including basic carpentry, minor plumbing tasks, and simple electrical fixes within safety guidelines.
- Experience with small renovations and home improvement tasks such as drywall repair, painting, tiling, caulking, and fixture installation.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools, with strong attention to safety procedures and workplace regulations.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple jobs, schedule visits, and complete work within agreed timelines.
- Transparent communication skills to interact with clients, understand project requirements, and coordinate with supervisors and crew members.
- Ability to work independently on-site and remotely, with a reliable means of transportation within the Greater Toronto Area.
- Prior experience in construction, renovation, or handyman services is preferred; familiarity with condominium and commercial spaces is an asset.
- Basic digital skills for receiving work orders, documenting completed tasks, and using mobile apps or email for job communication.
- Commitment to safe work practices; understanding of workplace safety standards and willingness to follow company policies.
