The Portfolio Advisory Team ( "PAT") at BMO Private Wealthprovides independent and objective investment advice to thousands of investment advisors across Canada, managing nearly $300 billion in AUM. The Equity group within PAT advises on individual North American equities, collaborating closely with BMO Capital Markets, BMO Global Asset Management, external research and performing its own due diligence to guide advisors and ensure client portfolios deliver required outcomes.ResponsibilitiesServicing AdvisorsContribute to the scalable daily service operation/offering of the team (morning call, morning and afternoon notes, etc.).Service advisors one-on-one: portfolio and model reviews, thoughts on individual stocks, sector positioning.Make recommendations on individual North American stocks to investment advisors and their teams.Visit branches across the country and deliver branch and client presentations on macro topics while presenting views on sectors and relevant stocks.Act as a primary subject matter expert on North American stocks.Thought LeadershipGenerate impactful content on a frequent basis for advisors and their teams: original, thought-provoking, actionable, concise, clear, engaging, and highly relevant.Content across various forms: presentations, morning calls, podcasts, written.Portfolio ManagementKey member of the investment committee responsible for the management of five guided portfolios (concentrated stock portfolios that form a key building block for advisors).Conduct independent analysis and assessment to contribute to team discussions on portfolios, positions,



opportunities and risks.High engagement level in investment committee discussions.Role model fostering dialogue and respectful debate, ensuring all perspectives are heard to make the best decisions for the models.Other ResponsibilitiesDeep knowledge of business and strategic priorities – align with what matters for the business, advisors, and clients.Leadership qualities – role model on work effort, behaviors, business and investment understanding.Client engagement – communicate with clients and ultra‑high‑net‑worth prospects, discuss investment resources and market backdrop.Qualifications15+ years of relevant experience in equity research, sales and trading, and/or portfolio management.Advanced understanding of the equity markets, particularly in North America.Exceptional communication skills – verbal and writing.In‑depth/expert analytical and interpretive skills; capable of sourcing andidentifying pertinent factors from large volumes of information.Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and risk.Analytical and problem‑solving skills – in‑depth/expert.Influence skills – in‑depth/expert.Able to manage ambiguity.Data‑driven decision making – in‑depth/expert.Experienced in presenting to large audiences and/or dealing with sophisticated investors.Self‑starter with entrepreneurial/growth mindset who can collaborate within the team.Some knowledge of the wealth‑management industry and/or dealing with investment advisors and their teams.Post‑secondary degree in a related field or a CFA designation.Salary$147,200.00 – $197,200.00 (Salaried; commission structure may apply; vary by location,skills, experience, education, qualifications.
