Nevvon is hiring an Instructional Designer – eLearning Scripts to join our Content team and create training for people working in health and home care.
We’re looking for someone with strong instructional design and writing skills who can identify what learners need to know, decide how best to teach it, and turn it into clear, accurate, and engaging eLearning scripts. You’ll use AI throughout the process to research, develop, and refine content and find more efficient ways of working.
Here’s what you’ll be focused on:
- Research healthcare and home care topics using AI-assisted workflows Research and analyze a wide range of training topics using AI-assisted workflows and reliable sources
- Apply instructional design principles to determine what learners need to know and how best to teach it
- Structure training into focused lessons with clear learning goals and an effective learning flow
- Develop and update e-learning scripts that turn complex information into clear, practical,
and engaging training
- Use AI efficiently across research, analysis, structuring, drafting, and QA
- Critically evaluate AI-generated research and content, checking accuracy and identifying gaps or weaknesses
- Review and QA your own work, and review and proofread other writers' scripts
- Balance audience needs, accuracy, scope, runtime, required content, and style when making content decisions
- Collaborate with other team members to solve problems, share feedback, and improve content
- Experiment with new AI tools, prompts, and workflows and help us find better ways of working
- Take ownership of your work, use your own initiative, and raise questions or issues when needed
- Support other Content team projects and priorities as needed
In order to be successful in this role, you’ll need to have:
- Strong, natural English writing skills and the ability to make complex or nuanced topics clear, accurate, and engaging
- Experience developing training, educational, or instructional content
- Strong analytical and research skills, with good judgment about accuracy, relevance, and what matters to the learner
- Meaningful hands-on experience using AI for research, analysis, structuring, and writing with the ability to use it efficiently and critically evaluate its output
- A learner-first mindset and the ability to make thoughtful decisions about content, structure, and learning flow
- Curious about AI and motivated to keep exploring new tools, features, and ways of working
- Independent, proactive, and accountable for the quality of your work
- Collaborative and comfortable giving, receiving, and acting on feedback
- Flexible and adaptable, and comfortable working with changing priorities and tight deadlines
- Pragmatic, with the judgment to distinguish meaningful improvements from personal preference
Strong Advantage
- Knowledge of healthcare, home care, caregiving, skilled nursing, or healthcare training
- Experience writing scripts for video-based or interactive training
- Experience with digital or e-learning content
Salary Range: 32-38 CAD/hour (part-time) OR 65-70k CAD (full-time)
- Remote
- Canada-based
- Full-time preferred, with flexibility to consider part time for the right candidate
