We are looking for an Internal Auditor, Risk & Assurance who will support internal audits, maintain the risk register, risk reporting, evaluate risks and controls, provide practical recommendations, and help identify automation opportunities that strengthen governance, security, and operational resilience.
In this role, you will…
- Support Internal audits through drafting audit reports, communicating findings, and collaborating with the business to identify practical solutions in a professional and objective manner.
- Perform audit testing, prepare working papers, evaluate controls, and document evidence-supported findings.
- Review audit data and testing results to identify inconsistencies, evaluate business issues, and develop recommendations to improve policies, procedures, and controls.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and automate business processes, to improve efficiency, strengthen controls, and support organizational objectives.
- Assist with planning and delivery of the annual third-party controls audit, working with internal stakeholders and external auditors to support accurate and timely completion.
- Contribute to risk management efforts by monitoring and maintaining the risk register, assessing emerging risks, and monitoring mitigation actions with business owners.
- Participate in assurance activities by coordinating control assessments, tracking remediation commitments,
and following up on completed actions to verify that identified risks have been addressed.
Why you are the person we’re looking for… You’ve demonstrated the ability to do the following, gained through education and/or experience
- Support Internal audit, risk management, and assurance practices, including the assessment of business and technology risks, controls, and related governance processes.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of professional internal audit and assurance standards, with the ability to independently apply requirements for audit planning, risk assessment, control testing, sampling, and working paper documentation.
- Understand risk management framework to independently identify, assess, document, and monitor business risks, evaluate the effectiveness of mitigating management-defined risk appetite.
- Experience supporting enterprise risk management or assurance activities, such as risk assessments, control reviews, risk register maintenance, or remediation follow-up.
- Leverage emerging technology (AI).
- Have exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Possess strong communication skills.
- Can operate independently in a dynamic team-oriented environment.
- Experience within the financial or technology industry will be considered an asset.
Fundserv will cover the cost of maintaining your CRISC, CDPSE, CISA, CA Target total compensation including bonus: $92,000-$103,500/year
(starting base salary of $80,000-$90,000)
