**Job Title: Material Handler**
**Job Description**
The Material Handler works on the production floor to safely and efficiently move materials and finished products across packaging, production, and processing areas using manual pallet jacks and pump trucks.

This role supports warehouse operations by following work orders, maintaining inventory flow, and working within a clean pharmaceutical environment while adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
**Responsibilities**
Work on the production floor to move materials and products between packaging, production, processing, and warehouse areas.

Use manual pallet jacks and pump trucks to transport materials such as cardboard boxes and finished products throughout the plant.

Follow work orders to determine where products and materials need to be moved and ensure accurate execution of instructions.

Handle and organize materials used to make different products, ensuring they are delivered to the correct departments and locations.

Lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs as part of daily material handling tasks.

Support warehouse inventory and warehouse operations by loading, unloading, and staging materials as required.

Use computers comfortably to read, interpret, and update work orders and related documentation.
**Essential Skills**
Minimum 2 years of general production experience.

Proven material handling experience in a production or warehouse setting.

Experience working in GMP-regulated environments.

Knowledge of SOPs and ability to follow written procedures accurately.

Comfort using manual pallet jacks and pump trucks.

Good English communication skills, including reading and writing.
**Work Environment**
This role is based in a very clean pharmaceutical manufacturing environment with strict adherence to GMP standards.

The company provides uniforms, including a dress shirt and pants, and requires the use of PPE such as hair nets, beard nets, safety shoes, masks, and safety glasses.

You will primarily work on the production floor and within warehouse areas, using manual pallet jacks and pump trucks to move materials.

The position follows a three-shift rotation, with a primary focus on day shift.

Afternoons 2:00 p.m.10:20 p.m., and Nights 10:00 p.m.6:20 a.m.

Overtime is available on weekends,



providing additional earning opportunities while working in a structured, clean, and safety-focused facility.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract position based out of Whitby, ON.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
