**The Impact You'll Make in this Role**
As an EHS engineer you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world.
Here, you will make an impact by: Participate in projects to improve plant safety including LOTO, machine guarding, PIV safety and others as they arise
Lead incident investigations using formal investigation methods and 3M reporting systems
Ensure environmental compliance through sampling, reporting and awareness
Support plant leadership in reporting site safety performance and environmental compliance
Support employee health through programs related to hearing conservation, PPE, air sampling and ergonomics
Work directly with plant engineering and maintenance to ensure effective facility management with respect to fixed fire protection, ventilation, spill containment and other factors as required.
Develop and deliver new training programs related to EHS
**Your Skills and Expertise**
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher in a mechanical, environmental engineering or science discipline (completed and verified prior to start)
Three (3) years' experience with EHS programs and procedures in a private, public,
government or military environment
Current, valid Driver's License.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: Master's degree in related discipline from an accredited institution
Skilled safety certification (CRSP)
Working knowledge of the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety act
Demonstrated experience in leading improvement projects related to EHS
Experience in collaborating with maintenance, engineering and operations teams to implement new safety procedures and programs
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work closely with all employees within the plant

Applicable to Canada Applicants Only: The expected compensation range for this position is $86,539 - $114,232,
which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible.
