**Welder and Fitter**
**Job Description**
This role involves fitting and welding structural components for projects in the oil and gas industry.

You will use multiple welding processes, including FCAW, MCAW, SMAW, and TIG, to fabricate and assemble structural and stainless steel components according to detailed blueprints and specifications.
**Responsibilities**
Fit and weld structural components for oil and gas industry projects using FCAW, MCAW, SMAW, and TIG welding processes.

Interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly of structural and stainless steel components.

Perform fabrication tasks, including measuring, cutting, fitting, and aligning materials prior to welding.

Set up and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently for flux core, MIG, and other applicable processes.

Inspect welds and structures for quality, accuracy, and compliance with applicable standards and project requirements.

Work with structural steel and stainless steel, ensuring proper handling, positioning, and joining of materials.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in a large structural fabrication shop.

Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and project deadlines.

Follow all safety procedures and shop guidelines while working on large structural components.
**Essential Skills**
5+ years of welding and fitting experience.

Proficiency with FCAW (flux core arc welding) and MCAW welding processes.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.

Experience with structural steel fabrication and fitting.

Hands-on experience with flux core and MIG welding.
TIG welding experience.

Strong skills in fitting, fabrication, and structural assembly.

Ability to work safely and effectively on large structural components.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
Structural welding experience is considered an asset.

Welding tickets such as CWB or TSSA are considered an asset.

Experience working with stainless steel structures is an advantage.

Interest in obtaining additional welding certifications.

**Work Environment**
You will work in a large, open, and clean fabrication shop that is very well organized and focused on safety and efficiency.

The role involves working on large structural components using welding technologies such as FCAW, MCAW, SMAW, MIG, and TIG, as well as handling structural and stainless steel materials.

The schedule consists of straight day shifts from Monday to Thursday, providing a consistent work routine in a modern industrial environment.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cambridge, ON.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $35.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
**Workplace Type**
This is a fully onsite position in Cambridge,ON.
