We are seeking a passionate and energetic Activity Coordinator to inspire and engage residents in a vibrant, supportive environment. In this role, you will design, organize, and lead a variety of recreational and social activities tailored to the interests and needs of seniors.
- Develop and implement diverse activity programs that promote socialization, mental stimulation, physical activity, and emotional well-being.
- Lead engaging group activities such as games, arts and crafts, music sessions, outings, and themed events.
- Collaborate with care teams to customize activities for residents with specific needs, including dementia or mobility challenges.
- Foster an inclusive setting by encouraging participation from all residents and respecting individual preferences.
- Maintain activity schedules, record attendance, and track participation to evaluate program effectiveness.
- Communicate regularly with residents, families, and staff to gather feedback and adapt activities accordingly.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all activities to create a secure environment for participants.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in assisted living communities or nursing homes is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of senior care practices, including dementia care and caregiving techniques.
- Ability to plan engaging activities that cater to diverse interests and abilities.
- Compassionate attitude with a strong commitment to enhancing residents’ quality of life.
- Relevant certifications in caregiving or activity programming are a plus but not required.
