Summerhill Market is looking for a reliable and hardworking Bakery Production Worker to join our Bakery Production team. This is a hands-on role supporting the daily preparation, production, packaging, and organization of our bakery products.

The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced food production workplace, takes pride in quality and consistency, and works well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

- Assist with the daily preparation and production of bakery products
- Portion, assemble, package, label, and prepare products for distribution to our store locations
- Follow recipes, production sheets, portioning guidelines, and quality standards
- Prepare ingredients and complete basic food-preparation tasks as required
- Operate bakery and production equipment safely and according to training
- Maintain clean and organized workstations throughout the shift
- Follow food safety, sanitation, allergen, and workplace health and safety procedures
- Properly store, rotate, date, and label ingredients and finished products
- Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing ingredients and supplies
- Monitor product quality and report any concerns to the Bakery leadership team
- Complete production requirements accurately and efficiently
- Support cleaning and sanitation of equipment, tools, work surfaces, and production areas
- Work collaboratively with Bakery team members to meet daily production requirements




- Perform other bakery and production duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

- Previous bakery, kitchen, food production, manufacturing, or food-service experience is an asset
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to follow recipes, instructions, food-safety procedures, and production standards
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing repetitive production tasks
- Ability to lift and move ingredients, supplies, and finished products as required
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekdays, weekends, and holidays depending on production needs
