Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Butchery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our butchery operations, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. This position involves assisting in meat preparation, customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Duties

- Assist the butcher in cutting, trimming, and preparing various types of meat for sale.
- Ensure all meat products are handled according to food safety regulations.
- Package meat products for display and sale while maintaining freshness.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and assisting customers with their selections.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the butchery area, including proper sanitation of tools and equipment.
- Monitor inventory levels of meat products and assist in restocking as necessary.
- Follow all health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.





Skills

- Proficiency in meat cutting techniques and knowledge of various cuts of meat is preferred.
- Experience in food preparation within the food industry is advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with customers.
- Familiarity with food handling practices and food safety standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to maintain an orderly workspace.
- Willingness to learn recent skills related to butchery and food preparation.
